Overview:
Meta-Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals in accordance with their individualized care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications and monitor medication schedules
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and prevent challenging behaviors
- Support individuals with dementia by providing memory care and engaging in therapeutic activities
- Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are respected at all times
- Collaborate with case managers and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Previous experience in direct care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and resident rights is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, including knowledge of first aid procedures

Cooking, cleaning, and transfers for our Residents is also required.

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
